Who we are
Melco was established in 1970 and is a member of the Rulmeca group of companies, significantly strengthening its existing operations and enhancing its already formidable technical expertise. Rulmeca is the largest supplier of conveyor rollers and Motorized pulleys in the world.
As an ISO 9001:2008 accredited company, Melco delivers quality products and provides reliable after sales services.
What we do
Melco manufactures an extensive range of superior products for bulk materials handling according to SANS 1313 Part 1 and 3 or other international standards
Melco products are used in a multitude of sectors, such as Mining, Cement, Steel works, Glass, Chemicals and Fertiliser industry.
Melco products achieve outstanding sustained performance levels in even the harshest of operating conditions.
Rollers are available in steel, rubber impact and HDPE in diameters ranging from 102mm diameter to 178 mm diameter in shaft series from 25mm to 50mm up to 2500mm long.
Melco manufactures a large range of standard idler frames from 450 mm to 2400 mm Belt Widths, as well as numerous unique frames to solve a variety of conveyor challenges.
With Melco’s Research and Development laboratory, as well as their Engineering department, they continually improve product performance and adapt to customer requirements.
Operating from its factory in Germiston close to Dukathole, Melco supports the community in various Corporate Social Responsibility endeavours.
